Team Dance
WHAT IS TEAM DANCE?
Team Dance is designed to introduce teenagers to dance technique and the overall benefits of exercise. Increased balance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance through hip-hop, street jam and funk moves choreographed to today’s hottest music.
The strong exercise habits young people develop now can go a long way in shaping their future.
Team Dance teaches things like coordination, strength and endurance, nutrition, and the importance of physical fitness. Teenagers experience the joy of physical movement as they dance their way through specially choreographed age-appropriate routines to today's most popular music.

Increases body awareness
Improved cardiovascular fitness
Knowledge of basic dance technique
Further develop flexibility, balance and coordination
Encourage positive self-esteem and confidence
Create an awareness of general health and fitness
Offer a warm, friendly and fun learning environment
Establish a healthy foundation towards lifestyle goal of good health, fitness and positive thinking
WHAT TO WEAR
Clothing that allows maximum mobility and athletic-type shoes is recommended. Avoid wearing too much clothing for class, shorts and t-shirts are fine. Keep in mind that it is an active program.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring an unbreakable container with water.
CLASS LOCATION AND TIME
Classes are held at Ruthrieston West Church
Thursdays 5.00 to 5.45pm.
