Junior Jazzercise

Fitness is fun with this exercise programme designed especially for children ages 6 to 12.

WHAT IS JUNIOR JAZZERCISE?

The strong exercise habits kids develop now can go a long way in shaping their future.
Junior Jazzercise teaches things like coordination, strength and endurance, nutrition, and the importance of physical fitness. Kids ages 6 to 12 experience the joy of physical movement as they dance their way through specially choreographed age-appropriate routines to today's most popular music.

Junior Jazzercise has been designed with the following objectives in mind:

Increases body awareness
Improved cardiovascular fitness
Knowledge of basic dance technique
Further develop flexibility, balance and coordination
Encourage positive self-esteem and confidence
Create an awareness of general health and fitness
Offer a warm, friendly and fun learning environment
Establish a healthy foundation towards lifestyle goal of good health, fitness and positive thinking

WHAT TO WEAR

Clothing that allows maximum mobility is the most comfortable for children. Athletic-type shoes are recommended and encouraged for children of all ages. Avoid wearing too much clothing for class, shorts and t-shirts are fine. Keep in mind that it is an active program.

WHAT TO BRING

Bring an unbreakable container with water.

CLASS LOCATION AND TIME

Classes are held at Ruthrieston West Church
Thursdays 4.00 to 5.00pm.
